Splash Hydrotherapy - Come for a Swim

Once you have decided to bring your dog for a swim or your vet has advised you that it would benefit from hydrotherapy there are a couple of things that need to be addressed before we can proceed.

1. All dogs visiting our pool must have been health checked and cleared by your vet.

2. Please read and understand our terms and conditions.

3. Please download the veterinary referral form and make sure that this is fully filled in by your vet.

We then need to have the completed form back to us at least two working days prior to your first visit so that we can prepare ourselves to ensure your dog will receive the maximum benefit from the hydrotherapy session while at our pool.

Each session lasts 30 minutes during which your dog will be fully supervised by our trained staff. If your dog has had major surgery or your veterinary surgeon deems it appropriate, we can arrange for a fully qualified and experienced physiotherapist with considerable hydrotherapy knowledge to be involved with the recuperation of your dog.

It will be your veterinary surgeon or specialist’s responsibility to monitor your dog’s progress after a number of swims usually after ten sessions.

We have a close association with Suzanne Cottriall, www.animal-physiotherapist.co.uk

This company has extensive experience and knowledge of hydrotherapy and has been involved helping many seriously injured dogs back to full health.

They will of course only become involved at your request.

Usually an injured dog is required to return to its vet for ongoing treatment and assessment.
